About the Teacher – Lena Wilson
Hi! My name is Lena Wilson I am a certified teacher with 18 years of classroom and intervention experience. I hold an SEI endorsement and certifications in dyslexia, and I specialize in breaking learning into clear, supportive, and confidence-building steps for all learners.
I am also a wife and mom of two including an 11 year old son that is on the spectrum, which gives me both professional expertise and lived experience. I understand firsthand how important structure, patience, visual supports, and real-world practice are for helping autistic children grow in independence and self-confidence.
I live in Arizona, where you’ll often find me enjoying a good cup of coffee and gardening, and keeping up with my sassy chihuahua, Mila. I especially love eating, cooking, and teaching practical life skills like food safety, planning ahead, and making healthy choices — skills that empower children far beyond the classroom.
My classes are autism-friendly, sensory-aware, and encouraging, with step-by-step instruction, visual supports, and plenty of positive reinforcement. My goal is to create a safe, engaging space where learners feel capable, supported, and proud of what they can do.
I can't wait to see you in class!
